Highly porous fine sponge, preventing small or weaker inhabitants from being drawn into the filter, provides lots of surface area for growth and breeding of helpful little creatures, enhances biological filtration and increases the dissolved oxygen level in the aquarium. Coarseness 40 PPI fine.
These pre filter sponges are designed for canister filters and Aquaclear 70 and 110 filters. Can also work for Aqueon and other larger hang on back filters as well.
